Point of Sale Financing is one of the fastest growing sectors in MENA, with Fintech generating increased attention and regional government support. Cashew developed a proprietary platform and proof of concept was tested in the UAE with a leading Finance House and e-commerce platform. Cashew integrated all regulation frameworks in Saudi Arabia to meet compliance, becoming the first “shop now, pay later” provider in the region. The startup is led by a 20+ year VC veteran with experience in growing and exiting technology companies in the US across Saas and fintech.
Built the Saudi Arabia strategy to help activate product launch.
Made an introduction to the largest retailer in Saudi Arabia, with full deployment across retail and e-commerce in Q1 2020.
Helped secure a leading bank to act as the balance sheet provider, with a number of other banks and merchants in the pipeline.
